Revive Social Custom Schedule Feature

This is a Pro Feature! Purchase the Pro version of Revive Social here.

In Revive Social, automated sharing runs from each connected account's queue schedule. On plans without Custom Schedule, you can set one sharing interval that applies to all connected accounts.

Purchasing the Revive Social Business or Marketer plans lets you refine queue activity with two schedule types for each connected account:

Recurring - Set the interval in hours for how often each account's queue should run.

Fixed - Set specific weekdays and clock times when each account should share.

These schedule types can be set per account, meaning Facebook shares can follow a recurring schedule while LinkedIn follows a fixed schedule.

To get started, go to Revive Social > Custom Schedule, select the social account you'd like to configure, then use the Schedule Type dropdown to choose between Recurring and Fixed:

For a recurring schedule, enter a number into the field. You can enter a whole number such as 2 (which means share from that account's queue every 2 hours) or 1.5 (which means share every 1 hour 30 minutes).

Selecting the Fixed option lets you choose the days of the week and clock times when shares should go out for that account.

The Green highlighted days are the active days. So as per the screenshot above, the plugin would share content according to the following schedule:

Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday at 9:30AM, 11:00AM, 2:10PM on those days

Note: The time options are in 24hour format.

Can schedules apply a different delay after publication to each account?

No. Revive Social's Custom Schedule does not support account-specific delays measured from a post's publication time.

Recurring schedules use queue intervals (for example, every 2 hours) and fixed schedules use specific weekdays and clock times. Neither schedule type starts a separate countdown for each newly published post.

This means you can't automatically send the same new post to account A immediately, account B two hours later, and account C the next day based on publication time. Upgrading to Business or Marketer gives you per-account schedule control, but not per-account post-publication delay timers.

Manually stagger one post across multiple accounts

If you need to stagger the same newly published post across LinkedIn or other accounts, use Instant Sharing manually:

  1. Go to Revive Social > General Settings and enable Enable Instant Sharing Feature (Post on Publish).
  2. Publish the post and select only the first account you want to share to.
  3. At the time you want the next share, reopen that published post, select only the next account, and click Share Now.
  4. Repeat for each additional account at the times you want.

⚠️ Important: Review the selected account checkboxes before every manual share. If Share More Than Once? is enabled and your recurring schedule is running, the automated queue can pick up that post again later.

For full Instant Sharing setup details, see How to share posts immediately with Revive Social.

What per-account schedules can do instead

Custom schedules are still useful for staggering each account's general queue activity. For example, you can schedule one account to share at fixed times and another to share on a recurring interval.

This controls when each account pulls from its queue, but it does not guarantee a publication-relative delay for any specific new post.

If you want newly published posts to wait for scheduled queue slots instead of sharing immediately, turn off Enable Instant Sharing By Default in General Settings.

Share one post per day from multiple published posts

If you publish several posts at once and want Revive Social to share only one per day to each connected account, combine a Fixed schedule with a single daily time slot and turn off Enable Instant Sharing By Default.

1. Set a fixed daily schedule

  1. Go to Revive Social > Custom Schedule.
  2. Select the social account you want to configure.
  3. Set the Schedule Type to Fixed.
  4. Select the days you want shares to go out.
  5. Add one time entry — for example, 09:00.

Revive Social shares one post per time slot per account from the queue. This assumes Number of Posts in General Settings is set to 1 (the default). Increasing that value will share more posts per slot.

2. Route newly published posts through the queue

By default, Enable Instant Sharing By Default is on. This pre-checks the share-on-publish checkbox in the post editor, so every post you publish is shared immediately rather than entering the queue. When you publish several posts at once with this on, all of them go out at the same time.

To prevent this:

  1. Go to Revive Social > General Settings.
  2. Turn off Enable Instant Sharing By Default.

After this change, newly published posts enter the sharing queue and are picked up at the next scheduled time slot.

📝 Note: Revive Social uses a continuous queue, not a fixed batch. When multiple posts are eligible, the plugin shares one at each scheduled slot per account. To control which posts become eligible, use the Minimum Post Age, Maximum Post Age, and category or taxonomy filters in General Settings. See also Working with Revive Social Sharing Queue.
